A life unfolds over time
Patterns mean more when they remain connected to your history.
A single message can describe a mood. A journal can show recurrence, change, contradiction, repair, and growth. Gurnle is designed to use journal material as context while keeping newer evidence more important than old conclusions.
Recent entries stay close
The newest journal entries can be supplied as direct context so Gurnle can respond to what is current. Dates and sequence matter: yesterday’s decision should not be flattened together with a belief you recorded years ago.
Older history remains useful
As a journal grows, older entries can be compacted into summaries and longer-term context. This preserves useful themes without pretending every past detail deserves equal weight forever. Older material can suggest a pattern; newer material can correct it.
Patterns are hypotheses
Gurnle is instructed to notice contradictions, assumptions, avoidance, fear, pride, craving, compassion, accountability, love, joy, and peace. These are interpretive possibilities—not diagnoses or permanent labels. A useful pattern should help you see more clearly, not trap you inside an AI-generated identity.
Common questions
Good to know before you begin.
Does Gurnle use my journal history?
Gurnle can use recent entries, compacted older journal context, and saved Gurnle conversations as background for an active conversation.
Does an old entry define who I am?
No. Gurnle is designed to give more weight to recent entries and current commitments. Older material should not override evidence of growth or change.
Are the patterns Gurnle identifies diagnoses?
No. Pattern observations are reflection prompts. They are not mental-health diagnoses, scientific measurements, or permanent labels.
